Getting ready for Women’s Run Hamburg!

It’s race-day! I’m busy training for my half marathon in september but I am so looking forward to the 8k in Hamburg today!


The “Women’s Run” is an all pink womens race (what a surprise ­čśë in the Stadtpark Hamburg. It’s my first race of this running series and I am really excited. There will be a “womens village” where I will be able to shop, relax, and have beauty treatments in the Beauty Lounge!

This will be the 8k race course:

I have a lot of things on my to-do and to-see-list:

  • checking out the running socks from cep
  • stopping by at Alpro Soya and Vita Coca
  • getting some information about “Wobenzym Plus” which is said to help my foot after its injury
  • walking around and getting loads of pictures
  • and of course: having a great time!!! ­čÖé

soy oat meal with strawberriesTo prepare myself for the day I had a delicious breakfast: peanut-banana “soy oats” with strawberries┬á – you can use the peanut chocolate oats recipe and just leave the oats. I’m doing this because of the last days of my abs challenge, during which I am told to eat as less carbonhydrates as possible. So for the racing day I just stucked to the banana and had 30g of soy “oats” and 30g chia seeds, mixed which 20g almonds. I added 1 teaspoon peanut butter and well, that’s it! Put it in the fridge over the night and heated some strawberries right before eating.

As I am leaving my hgome town right now for driving to Hamburg I am going to take some strawberries, soy yoghurt and an oat-bar with me (pre-race!). Think I’ll go for a salad at lunch-time.
