Training run 15 (10k) was pretty tough but so much fun at the same time! The sun was shining while it was still a little freezy, perfect conditions I guess! This was my last run in training week 4, tomorrow is rest day 🙂
Before running I tried a NTC (Nike Trainig Club) stretching workout, presented by Kara Goucher, an american long distance runner with a 10k PB of 30:55:16 (!!!! How awesome is that?! Outstanding!!). Normally I only stretch for about 5 minutes, which is way too short, I know! So today I treated my legs right and tried the NTC App, which I already use for other workouts (I will tell you more about the app and my favorite workout, the “ab burner”).
After 15 minutes I really felt ready to run and went outside, right into the fantastic sunshine! Wind was okay (finally!) and I wanted to have a slow start, but when I passed k 1 I was really shocked by my pace (05:53 -had to be something about 07:00)! So I tried to slow down, but didn’t succeed 😉 The cheers of my FB friends on Nike really made me fly! I felt awesome and unstoppable, but at k 7 the fast start took its consequences … I was so out of breath and I had the feeling that my foot would fall off! The last 2 k were really, really hard, but especially when I realized that I would run a new PB I didn’t want to stop 😉

By the way, in the afternoon I went to the gym, having 15
minutes of ab workouts and then joining my Hot Iron class! What a way to end the week!
