Half Marathon Training Run Week 11 Run 37Training Run number 37 – only 9 days left until my very first half marathon in LONDON!! I am so damn excited!
The timing for a cold couldn’t have been any worse – from Sunday to Tuesday I was feeling really tired, suffering from a sore throat and pain in my foot (again) and wasn’t able to do any running. After a strength workout on Tuesday evening it seemed as if my body had fueled up during the night. On Wednesday I felt much better, but still a little tired. But since there are no excuses I went out for a run yesterday evening 😉 I wanted to finish my first 20k ever at least one time before the half marathon!
While running I realized I still wasn’t in best condition and I was also totally  dried up (because I had way too less water during the last days). Pain my foot also returned. From k 13 on I was really struggling and arguing with myself about giving up or not. But I went on, trying to enjoy the cold air and to focus on my goal. Finally I made the 20k – and had 1,5 liters of water after heading into the kitchen!!! 😉
I’m so happy that I have made it – London, here I come!
