Stay dry when it gets hot – Nike Dri-FIT Knit Shirt

Nike Dri-FIT Knit Shirt running gear LaufshirtIn Germany we have a quite nice, hot summer – that’s awesome, I love sunbathing, relaxing at lakes or simply chilling in the garden … but to runners, hot temperatures are like cats to dogs – it may work, but normally every dog just gets pissed off if a cat crosses his way 😉 The heat makes us runners go out veeery early in the morning (every non-runner won’t even think of leaving his bed before 6 am on Saturday!) or very late in the evening, if it does cool down before midnight anyway.

You know I am a fitness fashion junkie and so I was very happy to get the brandnew Nike Dri-FIT Knit Shirt which is supposed to keep me cool on my summer-runs.

First of all: It looks awesome (don’t be afraid, it is also available in non-girly-colours like blue or grey ^^)! And it’s soooo soft 🙂

The shirt is really lightweight with different knitted patterns, which are supposed to have a cooling effect while the skin can “breath”.

I have been running in this shirt three times now, temperature from 24 to 29 degrees and I can definitely agree with the product description – yes, it keeps my upper body cooler than normal running shirts and I even stay dry!!! I have to admit that I am a champ when it comes to sweating, leaving little rivers behind me when my heart rate rises up 😉 Now you can see that the shirt didn’t get sweaty at all:

Well, I am very impressed. Those pictures were taken right after I returned home, you may see the sweat on my collarbone! Normally my whole shirt is wet (yeah, I already wear dri-fit shirts)!!! During running it feels like a second skin. You don’t even notice that you’re wearing something, despite that you don’t seem to sweat anymore (you do. of course. But this awesome shirt absorbs it and beams it somewhere on the moon or something freaky like that).

And – I don’t know if you suffer from the same problem – if my axles get too sweaty my skin goes raw! That hurts and there is no matter if I wear a tank top or a t-shirt. With the Dri-FIT Knit shirt my axles stay mostly dry and I don’t suffer from that stupid raw skin on my upper arms!  This is really awesome and I’ll definitely go for this shirt all summer long 🙂

You may want to shop the Dri-FIT Knit shirt at nike.com – it’s 60€ / 65$ / 42£ which is a lot for a running shirt – but it’s definitely worth it!!! I fear I have to go for the other colours now … 😉Nike Dri-FIT Knit Shirt running gear LaufshirtIn Germany we have a quite nice, hot summer – that’s awesome, I love sunbathing, relaxing at lakes or simply chilling in the garden … but to runners, hot temperatures are like cats to dogs – it may work, but normally every dog just gets pissed off if a cat crosses his way 😉 The heat makes us runners go out veeery early in the morning (every non-runner won’t even think of leaving his bed before 6 am on Saturday!) or very late in the evening, if it does cool down before midnight anyway.
